Most days of the 8 Stupas project can start at quarter past five in the morning. At this time the early birds gather to walk up the mountain for a Sang offering puja during sunrise.
The Sang offering puja is guided by Lama Chogdrup Dorje. The daily program starts officially at eight-thirty in the morning with a 16th-Karmapa meditation.
If the weather is nice we meditate at the Kalachakra Stupa on site. At nine o’clock is breakfast with the best porridge ever and local specialities like Feta, Graviera or Greek mountain tea.
After breakfast, you may join in on the activities on site which basically means helping to make the 8 Stupas happening no matter …
… if you join the kitchen …
… help with the stupa fillings …
… go for the heavy stuff …
… or make the place more beautiful.
At one o’clock it’s time for lunch followed by a short break until three o’clock in the afternoon.
Then from three until seven o’clock in the afternoon, you can again join the activities on site. And every once in a while we take a break and visit some of the sights in the area around us …
… and might even listen to Milarepa songs chanted by Lama Chogdrup Dorje, …
… and at the end of the day support the local economy. We also have a rough time table for the 8 Stupas project for your orientation.
At seven o’clock in the evening, we have dinner …
… and the day ends with a 16th Karmapa meditation at eight-thirty in the evening.
We warmly welcome you to join in. If you cannot make it on-site you can still participate with a donation.
